getTalent Raises $2.6M to Help Companies Build Better Relationships with Candidates

SuccessFactors has just sunk a nice funding round into a startup that’s been in stealth mode up until now.  getTalent officially pulled the curtains back today to unveil their new service that is aimed at helping companies build better relationships with their candidates.

The larger job boards like CareerBuilder and Monster already have something similar on their sites that function as add-ons.  But those add-ons can be very costly. getTalent is offiering an easy to use and cost effective solution that drives engagement.

Recruiters can also use the service to sign people up in person at job fairs, due in part to their resume scanning and QR code-creation tools.  Once a candidate is signed up, a recruiter can send job alerts, news about what is going on with the company and just about anything else they would like to communicate.

getTalent Founder and CEO Abraham Shafi says what they are trying to do is build a better engagement experience.  Instead of having a potential candidate wander off the page of a job listing or a LinkedIn job posting because there wasn’t anything of interest, companies can build better relationships with someone and follow up down the road when something does become available.

Contrary to what you may see on the nightly news there are still a lot of very talented individuals that are being headhunted, and this is a great service to keep potential candidates engaged after they’ve taken a look at a company’s job posting.
