What Your Suit Says About You

Regardless of what you do for a living or what you do in life, there will come a time when you are going to need to where a suit.  Whether it is for an interview, business meeting, sophisticated dinner or family wedding, your suit will speak volumes and you want it to say all the right things about you.

Whether you are purchasing one multi-purpose suit or are going to be a regular suit wearer, the most important aspect of any suit you purchase is going to be the fit. Your suit will enable you to make a statement without even uttering a word.

The first thing that needs to be addressed is what is your color? What is the color that will bring out your best features and blend well with your skin tone?  Skin complexion is a major factor.  You don’t want to choose a suit that will wash you out.

The style and cut of the suit will not only flatter your physique but will also say a lot about your personality. Slim fit suits or Modern fits are trendy at the moment, so if you have the physique to pull this cut off then go for it!

If you are carrying a little extra around the mid section, conventional wisdom dictates that you should go with a double breasted suit.  I don’t agree.  I say go with a nice fitting suit that enhances your appearance.  If unsure about your jacket size, go a size down.  It’ll be a much cleaner look.

For those who are confident and don’t have a problem showing it, large lapels and lapels in a different color and/or material to the suit add an attention grabbing flare that shows a bold confidence.
