Daily Tickr: How to Really Achieve Work-Life Balance

August 24, 2012

Misc

Achieving work-life balance is probably one of the hardest things any professional can hope to accomplish.  You have demands from your employer, your family and anything else you may be involved with outside of work.  On top of all of that, you may even try to squeeze in a social life.  To some, it’s damn near impossible.

To truly achieve work-life balance, you’re going to have to redefine what exactly that means.  To be successful in your work and your personal life, you’re going to have to narrow things down to the most important one or two things.  It’s difficult to do, but it is necessary in order to be successful.

Think about Apple.  They could literally build and sell anything they want. They could build a toaster and people would buy it.  But they don’t.  They focus on their core products and that is why they are successful as they are.
