Trending Stories: Gabby Douglas Faces Ridiculous Backlash Over New Hairdo

After Gabby Douglas won gold medals in both the team and all around gymnastic competitions at the Olympics, the only thing people seemed to have been concerned about was how her hair looked. The criticism being that her hair looked like it hadn’t been taken care of. As she was winning medals, I’m pretty sure her hair was the last thing on her mind.

Now she is facing backlash for her new do. This time for succumbing to societal pressures and getting a makeover from a celebrity stylist. It’s no wonder that so many young people are self conscious about their looks. This young lady represented her country well, and instead of celebrating her, she is being torn down because of how she chooses to wear her hair.
