Daily Tickr: Essential Objectives For Your Next Phone Interview

The way you approach your phone interview will dictate how the rest of your interview process will go.  All to often, job seekers fail to prepare for this important first step and blow it off as just something that’s standing between them and the interview that they deserve.

If you nail your phone interview, you’ll have an advocate on your side that will be selling you to your potential new boss.

Phone interviews are a way to get to know you a little bit better and to judge how quickly you can think on your feet.  Sell yourself, but don’t over do it.  As a rule of thumb, remember this call is about them not you.  You’ll have plenty of time to sell yourself in subsequent interviews.
