Daily Tickr: How One Guy Who Hasn’t Had a Job In 6 Years Makes $100k Annually

August 15, 2012

Misc

Matt Kepnes thought his life was headed in a direction that he wasn’t ready for. Family, kids, 401k’s and the like.  This didn’t suit the then 31 year old, so he decided to make a change.  Matt started the budget travel blog NomadicMatt.com, which receives roughly 200,000 unique views per month, and generates an average income of $9,000 month.

Starting and running a blog are a lot of hardwork, which I can obviously attest to. The blogs that make it, have writers that are passionate about the subjects that they write about and would write for free.  Matt has the best of both worlds.  He gets to write the amazing places that he travels to, and by the way makes a kings ransom doing it.  Not a bad gig.
