U.S. Women Win 5th Straight Gold Medal

The names on the jerseys may have changed but the results haven’t. Head coach Geno Auriemma coached the U.S. women’s basketball team to their 5th straight gold medal with a 86-50 victory over France. Candace Parker lead the way with 21 points. With all the talk on the Men’s side on which version of the Dream Team will beat who, the fact of the matter is that the U.S. women are crushing their opponents. The U.S. has now won 41 consecutive games in Olympic competition since taking the bronze medal in 1992.
