Jay Z once famously said, “Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t.” Regardless of what side of the fence you are on with regards to the Healthcare Law, some stunning numbers are starting to emerge. One area that hasn’t really been focused on is how the new Healthcare law will affect the labor force.
An economist released a study which in essence found that the new healthcare law will eliminate 800,000 jobs. Primarily because individuals will be exiting the workforce since they no longer need to work for their benefits.
Further studies go on to show that the very laws intended to help those that they were written for, end up hurting them in the long run. Whether you are in favor of the Healthcare Care law or not, it is incumbent on all of us to educate ourselves on the ramifications of this new legislation.
