Soundtrakr: J. Cole – The Cure

Every so often a track is released that exudes the essence of hip hop.  No auto-tune, just an M.C. who has control of his words and masters the art of story telling over an uncomplicated beat.  The Cure by J. Cole is that track.   The piano and horn-backed track is vintage J.Cole aka Cole World at his best.  The announcement of The Cure was more-or-less under played, and it is still unclear if “The Cure” will be a single from Cole’s upcoming album.  For now have a listen.
