When you are in the middle of updating your resume, you should be optimizing it for keywords so that your resume gets picked up by Applicant Tracking Software. There are instances where you want your resume to be more than just a collection of keywords. Your resume should be able to tell a story about who you are and what you’ve accomplished in the past.
Employers are looking for clear career paths and they want to see how you’ve grown professionally. You have to give them what they want, and build an image in their mind. In short, your resume has to read like a good book. A good book that the reader never wants to put down.
