Daily Tickr: Top Reasons You May Never Hear Back After Applying For A Job

July 25, 2012

Misc

One of the frustrations that I hear loud and clear from job seekers is the fact that they never hear back from an employer or recruiter after applying for a job online.  Before we get into the reasons as to why that is, there is plenty of blame to go around.

Sometimes you may be dealing with a recruiter that may be in over their head with tasks and responsibilities. At the same time, the simple truth is that regardless of how qualified you think you may be for a job, you  may not be qualified.

These are extremely difficult times for job seekers as more people are going after the same jobs.  Right now the odds are stacked in the employers favor so they get to choose from the best of the best.

To give yourself a chance of getting a phone call and getting invited for an interview, make sure that you’re resume is the best that it can possibly be.

Additionally make sure you are applying for jobs that you know that you are qualified for.  This will help turn the tables, and put the odds back in your favor.
