Daily Tickr: Can Having a QR Code on Your Resume Really Help You Get The Job?

July 10, 2012

According to some “experts”, the answer is yes.  I have mixed feelings about the use of QR Codes even from a business use perspective.  If done correctly, it’s an interesting way to engage new and potential customers.  However, if your QR Code just sends people to your company website, well what was the point of that?

Job seekers, just like brands, have to find unique ways of standing out.  Maybe adding a QR Code to your resume will help you to do that.  Especially if you are seeking a job that requires you to be tech savvy.  For others, I would recommend sticking with traditional resume formats.
